The ECM Mechanika Max is a heat exchanger espresso that combines attention to details, superior workmanship and German engineering in a compact machine. Equipped with a quiet rotary pump; you can chose to use the water tank or plumb it in directly. Also included are the ergonomic and weight balanced angled portafilters with metal ends that ECM is known for.

One of its standout features is ECM's new Smart HX® technology. When you activate the brew temperature control mode, the machine delivers the ideal brew temperature without requiring cooling flushes or intricate calculations. If you prefer to turn off this mode, the machine provides a flush advisor that guides you to achieve the perfect brewing temperature through a cooling flush.

Features:

• ECM patented E61 Group Head: The E61 brew head design has been around for over 50 years, but ECM significantly improved it in technology and design with their stainless steel mushroom.  The E61 group is known for its reliability and temperature stability due to heavy brass head combined with a thermosyphon system keeping the group head hot.  
• Smart HX® Technology: Smart HX® technology offers two modes for precise temperature control. Activate the brew temperature control mode for perfect brew temperature without cooling flushes. Alternatively, use the flush advisor to guide you through a cooling flush to achieve the ideal brewing temperature.
• PID Temperature Control:  The PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controller allows the user to precisely adjust the boiler temperature and other smart features such as programmable on/off times, various pre-infusion options and maintenance reminders.
• Rotary Pump: The commercial grade rotary pump draws from the machine's internal water reservoir or allows for the machine to have a direct water connection from the water supply.
• Pressure Gauges: The two pressure gauges allow you to control both the pressure of the steam boiler and the pressure during coffee extraction. They are a great feedback tool which let you better understand your machine and improve your espresso making skills.
• Joystick Cool Touch Wands: Cool touch wands to avoid any burn,  the formation and allow an overall more satisfying user experience. The joystick, also called lever or push valve, locks in position for immediate full steam power.
• Water Sensor:  Level control cuts the power circuit if water is low, with a microprocessor that automatically controls the level of the water tank and boiler. A low water level warning will tell you when you need to refill.
• Beautiful Finish:  The body, water tray and feet are made of stainless steel with no sharp edges and built for a long lasting and easy to clean finish.
• Professional tamper:   Comes standard with a stainless steel tamper instead of the cheap and flimsy plastic tamper typically included with espresso machines,
